Cooking Lessons

Last week Harleigh went to Grandma and Grandpa's house and gave Grandpa a cooking lesson on making oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Grandma took some pictures of the two of them, I only wish she would have had  a video because I would have LOVED to have heard that lesson!!

And she even gave Grandpa an A+ for his cooking skills.  When we got in the car and I ate a cookie and told her how good they were she told me that I needed to tell Grandpa that because "he made them Mom!"

Sasquatch

Another thing that has kept me busy is Shop With a Cop, I'm still waiting for pictures from all of the people who took pictures for us but thought I'd share one with this tall, dark, and handsome dude that showed up....

Okay, maybe not so tall, dark, and handsome.  He is the Sasquatch from Rexburg Motor Sports and he just showed up.  We had actually told them we didn't think it was a good idea because he might scare the kids, let me tell you he scared me.  I turned around and was staring right into his chest but after I got used to him, he wasn't too bad????

Chief's Scrapbook

One of the reasons I've been busy lately was that our Chief of Police retired November 30 of this year.  In early October he asked me to make a scrapbook for him and a couple of days later brought me a box with his collections from 1972-2010, needless to say it was quite a project!!!  I ended up with four HUGE four inch scrapbooks and SEVERAL hours of work.  Here are pictures from the department retirement party when I gave him the scrapbook.  They were too heavy to carry so we wheeled them out on a walker for added effect, I mean we had him driven to the party in a hearse so why not??

I gave him back the box that he put the items in, not quite sure how he fit them all in.

There was a picture at the end of the scrapbook with the Chief and the new boat he purchased earlier in the year saying 150....10-42.  His number is 150 and 10-42 is checking off duty.  I framed a smaller version for him to have.

Family Pictures

I posted a few of Brodie's Senior pictures and since I've been so busy lately that I haven't really captured any of our events on film I thought I'd share some of our family pictures that we had taken early in November

And here are two for entertainment, Jayce riding the "wild" one and Harleigh showing Scott "she's had enough"!!!!

Somewhat Surviving November

The death of Todd's dad, Brodie and Harleigh's birthdays, Chief's retirement and birthday parties, Thanksgiving, several hours of scrapbooking making the Chief's four, four inch scrapbooks, planning Shop With a Cop....I think I can say I actually, somewhat, survived November...or at least am ready for a nap.  Shop With a Cop is next weekend so there is still one big project underway and Todd has Wreaths Across America next Saturday, but then I can focus on getting ready for Christmas.  YAY!!

I mentioned that we had family pictures and Brodie's Senior pictures taken early in November.  I thought I would share a few of Brodie's pictures with you.  I'm really happy with how they turned out.  Scott was able to get him to relax and enjoy having his pictures taken, especially the snowboarding ones.
